What to expect

During a yoga class

If you have never attended a yoga class before you be wondering what to expect. My classes last 90 minutes and start with a short breathing and grounding exercise. This helps you to let go of your day and enjoy being in the yoga class. The class will then focus on warming up and performing yoga postures (asana). Previous experience is not needed as we will work at all levels and there will be modifications shown for postures. However if you have more experience then there will also be direction to extend the posture. The class will finish with a breathing exercise and guided relaxation.

Classes are booked in 6 week blocks which enables you to work towards postures and for us to work on certain areas of the body.

What to bring

For a yoga class you will need to bring your own yoga mat. I would also recommend bringing a bottle of water and a warm jumper or blanket for the relaxation.

If you use other props such as belts and blocks please feel free to bring them along but this is not an expectation. Under the current situation with covid I am unable to provide equipment.

I recommend you wear lose fitting close that do not restrict your movement and are comfortable to wear. You may wish to bring along a warm layer and socks for the relaxation especially because we have to keep our space ventilated.

You are not required to wear a facemask for yoga unless you choose to but you may need one to walk through the rest of the buildng.
